After a division title and playoff run in the 2012-13 season, the Washington Redskins have been the complete opposite this season. At (3-11) the Redskins are already looking towards next year. RGIII has faced serious criticism, and Mike Shanahan looks to be on the way out. Here is a look at some potential players the Redskins may land in next years draft.
For the second straight year I believe the Redskins draft a corner with their first pick in the draft. With uncertainty whether Deangelo Hall will return and Josh Wilson being outright awful, the Redskins will draft Verrett out of TCU to pair with Amerson. This will give the Redskins two talented young defensive backs, which they haven't had in years.
The Redskins haven't been able to get any pass rush this season. Donald has had an exceptional senior season and would help with the Redskins upfront and improve this defense.
Rd. 4 Pick 101: Max Bullough, MLB, Mich St. 6'3 245 pounds
London Fletcher announced that at the end of the season he is most likely going to retire. (Thank god) With that said, the Redskins will need someone in the middle to replace him. Michigan St. had one of the best defenses in college football this year and Bullough was the man behind it. I believe he could step in right away and start for this defense.
The Redskins haven't had a true number two receiver in a while. Josh Morgan is mediocre and Hankerson doesn't have elusiveness in the open field. Quite frankly I'm tired of watching them both. I do believe the Redskins will address the receiver position in free agency, but Washington has size and potential to be a number 2 receiver.
Anyone could step in and do a better job then Tyler Polumbus. Whoever is the coach next season will need to address the offensive line. Wentworth has size and did a good job of protecting Derek Carr this season at Fresno St.
